History of Radiology in Guyana

Guyana got its first imaging equipment, x-rays, in the 1960s. There were no specialized radiologists working in the country until the early 2000s. Radiology residency began in 2017. The first fellowship-trained radiologist will begin interventional radiology in 2023.
